Stitch Fix#8

Stitch Fix

Eight boxes of clothes!! Eight boxes!  My goodness, I’ve been using Stitch Fix for quite a while now.  I still love it.  This service is so easy and has unequivocally improved my style.

If you are new to Stitch Fix, it is a monthly subscription service.  I simply filled out an online questionnaire with my sizes and style preferences.  The stylists at Stitch Fix then send me 5 new clothing pieces each month picked out especially for me.  I try them on, keep what I like and send back anything I don’t in the prepaid envelope included.  The styling fee is $20 per box, however if you buy a piece that styling fee is taken off the cost of the clothing.  No worries if you don’t like anything.  Stitch Fix has amazing customer service and I have heard many stories of them shipping out a new box free of charge if the customer is unhappy.  If you are interested in Stitch Fix, please consider using my referral link here: Stitch Fix.

This month, my stylist sent me some clothing for the cooler weather.  Here’s what I received:

Veronica M – Bellatrix 3/4 Sleeve Chevron Print Shift Dress

Bellatrix-dressI styled this for cooler weather in this picture.  Confession:  It was 85 degrees when I took this picture, so I was a little toasty.  Especially because this dress is made of a thicker material.  I love it though.  It looks good with or without the belt.  Also, it has built in pockets which is such an admired feature in my clothing these days.  I am always looking for some place to stick my phone or keys where they are easily accessible while juggling my one-year-old.  I kept it! Cost: $108

Tart Eames Gathered Waist 3/4 Sleeve Top

Eames-topThis was a cute black top with a gathered waist and a wide neckline.  I felt it was too similar to what I already own, so I sent it back.  Cost: $68

Just Black Jake Slim Bootcut Jean & Eight Sixty Albert Blurred Dot Print Blouse

Albert-topI love the look of this outfit in this picture.  When I saw the picture, I almost bust open my bag already sealed to go back to Stitch Fix to dig these two items out.  However, I chose ultimately not to keep them.  The pants were similar in cut and color to ones that I decided to keep last Stitch Fix and the shirt, although a different pattern is also similar to something I already have from last Stitch fix.  It even has the same kind of cut out back.Albert-top-backBoth pieces are beautiful.  I’m just trying to keep my wardrobe under control. Cost- Pants: $88 Top: $64

Octavia Gilbert Houndstooth Knit Infinity Scarf

gilbert-scarfI can’t resist a good scarf.  I can easily elevate a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt with the addition of this colorful accessory.  This one was bright and looked great against my skin.  It was a keeper and will help keep me a little warmer this winter.  Cost: $32

I kept two pieces from this Stitch Fix which suits me just fine.  As always, I loved receiving my Stitch Fix box.  It’s still like Christmas each and every time.

  1. Great review, JoAnn! I liked all of the pieces, but you’re smart to keep only what makes sense – so hard to resist the temptation to keep it all! I really like the scarf; cute way to dress for cooler weather without melting out here in the desert. I recently posted a new review, too, and my last box for this year is coming soon. 🙂

  2. Hi JoAnn! I came across your blog through Pinterest when I was looking for ways to style my Bellatrix chevron dress. I always wear mine with boots or with purple flats. Now I will try a jean jacket and leggings!! I read a few of your stitch fix reviews and I have gotten a few of the same clothes as you, we must have similar styles! I also read your article about creating a smaller/capsule wardrobe. I haven’t done that yet but maybe one day!

    1. HI Shannon!! You need a small wardrobe! It has completely changed my life 🙂 I wrote about it again today actually 🙂

I just wore the bellatrix dress this weekend! I paired it with booties and some dangly earrings from Rockbox.

Do you have a pinterest board for your Stitch Fix? I would love to see it to get some new style ideas since we seem to have the same style. I have such a difficult time finding stuff to pin to mine.
