Podcast Episode 231: Successful Co-Parenting Strategies for Secure Kids with Aurisha Smolarski, MA LMFT

Co-parenting is a journey filled with highs and lows, and in the midst of it all, the well-being of your children takes center stage. So, how can you successfully co-parent and ensure your kids grow up feeling secure and loved?

While it’s natural to have differences, maintaining a respectful and amicable relationship is crucial for the emotional well-being of your children. Kids thrive in an environment where they see and feel cooperation between their parents.

In my own co-parenting journey, I’ve learned that setting aside differences and focusing on the common goal – the happiness of our kids – creates a better, more nurturing atmosphere…for everyone. But sometimes, that’s a lot easier said than it can be done.

Aurisha Smolarski is a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in working with couples, co-parents, and individuals. She is also a co-parenting coach and mediator. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s also the author of the new book, Cooperative Co-Parenting for Secure Kids: The Attachment Theory Guide to Raising Kids in Two Homes and a co-parenting herself. This is a refreshing look into the communication dynamics necessary for a positive co-parenting relationship. If you’re at the start of your co-parenting journey or a seasoned vet, this is a valuable listen for everyone.

In this episode of the No Guilt Mom podcast you’ll learn:

  • The importance of a positive relationship between co-parents for the success of the child(ren)
