How to Grow Your Email List

Blog Page Views and Income

Here’s how Whimsicle did in March:March pageviews

I’m still blown away that the site received over 80,000 page views last month!  It’s not luck, nor some inherent trait I possess.

If you want to check out how I grew my page views, check out my past income reports.

As for income:

Sponsored posts: $1410

Ad Networks: $246.15

Product sales: $25 (!!)

Other: $137.10 (Ok, it was an airline refund because an airline – which I will not name because I’m classy- royally messed up my flight coming back from the Build Your Blog Conference in Salt Lake City)

A bulk of my blog income comes from sponsored posts at the moment.

I love that source of income! But I’m also looking for ways to make my income more passive.

In last month’s income report, a few of my blogging friends contacted me and told me that I should be making more money from my ads based on page views.

I had Blog Her for my main sidebar ad and then filled in the rest with ad sense.

Since I crossed the 80,000 page view threshhold, I finally qualified for The Blogger Network.  I switched all of my adsense ads over to them (or rather they switched it over.  They are wonderful by the way!).  And wow..

As a little sneak preview into this month,   I made more with the Blogger Network in 8 days than I did with my Adsense ads the entire month!!!

Let’s look at my expenses for March:

Walmart   44.79  (sponsored post shopping)

Webinar Jam $397  (Selling my product, can’t wait to share!)

Adobe $10.62 (Photoshop/ Lightroom)

BoardBooster $10

Fiverr $12.60 (I outsourced a graphic design)

The UPS Store $53.55 (Mail box rental for 3 months)

Active Campaign $17  (my email service)

Bed Bath & Beyond $90.35  (sponsored post shopping)

Hobby Lobby $65.94 (sponsored post shopping)

Facebook Ads $68.59  (Webinar promotion)

Total Expenses: $772.44

March Profit: $982.07

I’m very happy with the direction I’m headed!  Now, want to know how email factors into this?
