I’m a photographer living in sunny Tempe, Arizona by way of Illinois. I’m still a mid-west girl at heart in a lot ways, but I was never very good at keeping my wandering, curious spirit in one place for very long. Now, as a happily married gal with a new baby girl, I’m excited to call Phoenix my home and happy to be planting roots. As an artist, I find myself to be passionate about many, many things and find myself dabbling in a handful of projects at any given time. My love for photography began with my obsession of the human face. At a young age, I discovered I wasn’t very good at drawing faces, so I picked up a camera to document the endless possibilities of wonder and beauty to be found within a person’s face and I haven’t put the camera down since. Along with my love for photography, I am head over heels in love with all things vintage and old. If I can re-purpose and refurbish something instead of buying new, I’m going to do so. It’s so rewarding to take something that has it’s own history and give it a new life. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a huge (HUGE!) animal lover. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to help an innocent soul. Animals bring such joy to my life, so of course I can’t help but give back to their lives as best I can. My dream is to one day live on enough land to have my very own happy animal farm with chickens, cows, pigs, goats, horses, cats, dogs…you name it!
