Podcast Editor – No Guilt Mom Podcast
About the Role
The No Guilt Mom Podcast is seeking a detail-oriented Podcast Editor to join our team on a remote contract basis. The ideal candidate has a sharp ear for audio quality, strong technical skills, and the ability to enhance content while maintaining the authentic voice of our hosts and guests.

Responsibilities
- Edit two podcast episodes per week (approximately 35 minutes each)
- Clean and enhance audio quality by removing background noise, normalizing levels, and eliminating technical issues like pops and clunks
- Remove filler words (umms, likes, etc.) and excessive pauses while maintaining natural conversation flow
- Edit content based on our editorial notes
- Identify and extract compelling 30-second segments to create podcast teasers for the beginning of each episode
- Add timestamps for ad breaks
- Produce final formatted transcripts for each episode
- Deliver finalized audio files to our Google Drive folder within the specified timeline
Requirements
- Proven experience in podcast or audio editing (portfolio or samples required)
- Technical proficiency with industry-standard audio editing software
- Strong attention to detail, particularly for sound quality issues
- Ability to identify engaging content for teasers
- Experience with audio normalization and noise reduction techniques
- Capability to produce clean, formatted transcripts
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
Technical Specifications
- Final episodes must be a minimum of 30 minutes in length
- Audio must be professionally normalized with no audible pops, clunks, or technical issues
- Industry standard audio quality specifications for podcast distribution
- Clean removal of excessive filler words while maintaining natural speech patterns
- Elimination of awkward pauses and silence gaps
- Properly formatted transcript delivery
- Clearly marked timestamps for ad breaks
Deliverables
- Two edited podcast episodes per week
- One 30-second teaser segment per episode
- Formatted transcript for each episode
- Final files uploaded to designated Google Drive folder
Timeline
- 7-day maximum turnaround time from receipt of raw audio
