"Too often, moms are so hard on themselves, but the No Guilt Mom event I attended had us cheering each other on every step of the way!"
- Kim -
It's time to use your devices intentionally... instead of letting your devices use you!
MOMS TODAY FEEL WORRIED ABOUT THE IMPACT OF SCREEN TIME ON THEIR KIDS' LIVES.
Right now, you might feel like you're failing as a parent if you aren't strictly controlling your kids' screen time (or for even allowing them access to a device in the first place).
But, let's be real. Screens are everywhere and unavoidable. Kids are using them in school, we need them for work. And TBH, letting the kiddos tune in to some 'toons or games allows you a much needed break and some temporary relief.
There is so much good that comes from technology (food delivery for the win!) - but you admit that parts of it manipulate your time, attention and mood, as well as your kids'.
This is the month we keep the GOOD and toss out the bad.
THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF MAY, YOU WILL:
discover what you enjoy about your phone and what you want to curb,
make an actionable plan to reduce your screen time usage,
figure out your triggers and why you may be reaching for devices so often, and
reclaim your time and discover what you find fun OFF of screens.
JOIN US AND BREAK FREE FROM THOSE DIGITAL CHAINS TO BECOME THE CALM, HAPPY & PRESENT MOM YOU WANT TO BE!
I want to help you feel like you're winning at parenting!
I remember the exact moment two years ago that I knew things needed to change.
It was the day after Christmas and I had just finished all the shopping, had done all the wrapping, and organized all the meals - on top of keeping up with my own job, taking the kids to their after-school activities, and managing my son's frequently intense emotions.
I sat on the couch and cried. Huge, heaving, trying to catch-my-breath sobs.
There I was, doing EVERYTHING and still feeling like a huge disappointment.
That's when I knew I couldn't do it all anymore. My kids expected me to take care of waking them up, to answer their every need, and constantly be available. I felt overwhelmed and I knew my kids weren't developing any responsibility with me doing it all.
So, I started changing how I asked. I used proven strategies from psychology and the strong communication skills I've learned through my experience as a teacher & parenting and life coach.
I also changed my mindset. I gave myself permission to pause and take care of myself, and I want to help you do the same.
